| End's Plains This fertile meadow is a favorite hunting ground for many wolves, namely for its abundance of prey all year round. Even in the winter months, the grass is barely touched by a dusting or two of snow, and this prevalence of grass attracts many herbivores. Water is plentiful, too, and there are some sections of the plains that turn to marsh, prone to flooding when it rains. A few clusters of trees dot the landscape, offering shade and a place for tired wolves (and fleeing prey) to rest. The Atizapan's Ridge rises in the distance, creating a pleasant backdrop and making it easy to find one's way, no matter how endless the plains seem to be. pictures (c) google | |
